GAME PROGRAMMING WITH THE GENESIS 3D API

 

WALKER 1.01 -  a simple G3D application.  It's called "Walker" because that is about all it allows the virtual player to do, i.e., walk around a genesis3d room.  Note that since entities have not yet been implemented, the player origin is not specified. This means that if other levels are used, there is no guarantee that the starting location will make sense. Door operations and jumping are also not handled in this simple application.

Walker is based on the "Special App: Creating our application tutorial" from Genesis3D Dojo (www.gameznet.com/genesis/).  This application is intended to be built with MS Visual C++ 6.0 and the Genesis 3D SDK 1.0 libraries from Eclipse Entertainment (www.genesis3d.com).

Changes made in the code from the Minimum Application Tutorial on Genesis3D Dojo:

Download a demo (walkdemo.zip, 1.5MB) which now contains the executable, source code and all other resources necessary to run.
